Thai Strategies of the National Education Plan

 Vision: The National Education Plan envisions that “All Thais receive quality education and lifelong learning, live happily, in line with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and the changes of the 21st century world.”

Objectives:

  1. To develop a quality and efficient education management system and process.
  2. To cultivate Thais as good citizens with characteristics, skills, and competencies aligned with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, the National Education Act, and the National Strategy.
  3. To transform Thai society into a learning society characterized by morality, ethics, unity, and cooperation, fostering sustainable national development in accordance with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.
  4. To propel Thailand beyond the middle-income trap and reduce domestic inequality.

Goals:

  • Learner Aspirations: To develop all learners with 21st Century Learning Skills and Characteristics, encapsulated in the 3Rs and 8Cs framework:
    • 3Rs: Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic.
    • 8Cs: Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Creativity and Innovation, Cross-Cultural Understanding, Collaboration, Teamwork, and Leadership, Communications, Information, and Media Literacy, Computing and ICT Literacy, Career and Learning Skills, and Compassion.

This structured approach aims to align educational management with national development goals, ensuring that the education system not only meets current needs but also prepares learners for future challenges.
